Does High Traffic Mean Trustworthy? DailyView Launches the New "Trust Temperature" Index

As generative AI lowers the barrier to content production, online information and social media content are growing rapidly, putting authenticity and credibility to the test. The "Trust Deficit" has increasingly become a critical issue for brand management. Today (October 21), DailyView, Taiwan's largest data analytics platform under BIG DATA Co., Ltd. (BIG DATA), Taiwan's leading data technology company, officially launched its new "Trust Temperature" index. Integrating five dimensions—Authenticity, Risk, Stability, Expertise, and Network Reach—and drawing on public information and online data, the index offers a broader perspective that goes beyond traffic and subscriber counts.
The first wave of the Trust Temperature index focuses on nearly 100 Taiwanese YouTubers with over one million subscribers. In Q3 2026, HowHow, whose video production expertise has been recognized by film festivals and government agencies, took first place with an overall score of 89.97, including a perfect score of 100 in Expertise. ChuChuShoe (啾啾鞋), known for long-running knowledge-based content, ranked second with 84.9 points, remaining in the top ten for three consecutive quarters. Huang Da-Chien (黃大謙), whose recent travel safety video warning tourists resonated with netizens, rose to third place with 84.87 points on a marked improvement in Network Reach—up 11 spots from the previous quarter, making it one of the most notable ranking shifts this quarter.
From Online Buzz to Measuring Trust: Five Dimensions Form a New Index
The Trust Temperature index draws on the online data and analytics capabilities of KEYPO Big Data Intelligence public opinion analytics software to provide a comprehensive assessment across five dimensions: "Authenticity," which examines how verifiable a person's identity and information are; "Risk," which covers publicly available risk information such as regulatory penalties, judicial records, and social controversies; "Stability," which reflects channel management and content output; "Expertise," which covers publicly available professional background and award records; and "Network Reach," which measures online buzz, social engagement, media citations, and mentions by other creators. The Trust Temperature index reflects performance based on public information compiled over a specific period according to an established methodology. It is not a public opinion poll, nor is it a definitive judgment of any individual's character or actual trustworthiness.
According to DailyView, discussions of creator influence have traditionally focused on online buzz, favorability, and engagement, but high traffic does not necessarily mean trust. For brands, choosing partners requires considering not only exposure value but also professional performance, long-term stability, and potential risks. By combining diverse, publicly available data, the Trust Temperature index transforms previously scattered data into a continuously trackable indicator, moving the conversation from traffic toward quality and accountability and offering businesses a broader evaluation perspective.
HowHow Scores Perfect in Expertise; ChuChuShoe Maintains Steady Performance Through Knowledge Sharing
In its first wave, BIG DATA analyzed nearly 100 Taiwanese YouTubers with over one million subscribers, tracking changes in their Trust Temperature from Q1 to Q3 2026. HowHow, known for his humorous storytelling and creative short videos, took first place in Q3 with 89.97 points, returning to the top spot after ranking third in Q2. He earned a perfect score of 100 in Expertise. Public records show he is sought after by both the public and private sectors: in August 2026, he was invited to serve as a judge and mentor for the "LEXUS MY FILM" short-video lifestyle film festival, and he previously partnered with the Labor Affairs Bureau of the Kaohsiung City Government on videos promoting workplace equality, anti-discrimination, and sexual harassment prevention, demonstrating creative experience spanning commercial content to public-interest communication.
Ranked second, ChuChuShoe scored 84.9 points and has remained in the top ten for three consecutive quarters, with relatively stable scores. His channel has long focused on science, trivia, books, and everyday topics, sharing knowledge through well-organized research and accessible explanations, and his podcast "Jiu Shi Lun Shi (啾式論事)" extends this into knowledge sharing and in-depth discussion across different fields. Compared with one-off viral hits, his consistent and clearly defined content positioning is a key factor in assessing long-term performance.
Huang Da-Chien's Travel Safety Video Draws Media Attention; Jesse Tang and Bugcat Capoo Demonstrate Diverse Forms of Trust
Huang Da-Chien ranked third in Q3 with 84.87 points, up 10.37 points from Q2, jumping from 14th to 3rd place. His Network Reach score rose from 82.8 to 94, an increase of 11.2 points in a single quarter. In August 2026, he filmed a travel safety experiment in Barcelona, Spain, carrying eight wallets, documenting what appeared to be an encounter with a robbery ring and summarizing the gang's tactics along with travel safety tips. The video prompted follow-up coverage from multiple media outlets. This case shows how a creator can turn personal experience into practical information and expand content influence through social media and news coverage, increasing cross-platform visibility.
Other creators in the top ten also demonstrated distinct strengths in expertise and content management. Bugcat Capoo (貓貓蟲咖波) and Jesse Tang (唐綺陽), both previous winners of the "Most Valuable Online Influencer – YouTuber" award at the DailyView Best Reviewed Online Awards, ranked 7th and 8th with 80.64 and 79.7 points, respectively. Jesse Tang has remained in the top ten for three consecutive quarters, sharing astrology and lifestyle topics through YouTube, podcasts, and media appearances over the long term; her podcast "Tang Yang Ji Jiu Wu (唐陽雞酒屋)" has also been recognized at the Golden Bell Awards for Radio. Bugcat Capoo has built a distinctive character IP through dialogue-free animation and partnered with the Keelung City Government on the Chaojing Bay Festival, extending its online influence to public events offline through a dedicated photo spot, AR missions, and costumed character meet-and-greets. Onion Man, MASA, Baichi Gongzhu (白癡公主), Chao Li Fang (超粒方), and Chien Chien (千千) also made the top ten.
Beyond professional performance and network influence, the Trust Temperature index also incorporates information such as public controversies, judicial records, and public reactions into its Risk dimension to track creators' changes across quarters. Among them, Tsai A-Ga (蔡阿嘎) ranked 50th in Q3 with 60.22 points, down 10.37 points and 26 places from the previous quarter; the original analysis included public discussion of controversies surrounding him during that quarter. Joeman's Q3 score fell 3.03 points from the previous quarter, a period in which a personal relationship matter sparked online discussion.
DailyView stated that it will continue tracking changes in the index over time and expand its analysis to include influential public figures, brands, enterprises, and government agencies, offering the public a wider range of perspectives.
